Our papain is an EU-GMP pharma-grade powder extracted from Carica Papaya. Derived exclusively from unripe papaya, it is produced to meet stringent European pharmaceutical quality requirements. Its enzymatic activity is measured according to the FIP standard, established by the Commission’s Centre of Standards at Ghent University’s Laboratory of General Biochemistry and Physical Pharmacy (Belgium). This centre coordinates collaborative enzyme assays across academic, industrial, and national pharmaceutical control laboratories and provides the official FIP enzyme standards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability in activity determination.
